People ask us what it’s like to work with a force of nature. That’s usually right after they’ve met Rebecca. Rebecca is Something Massive’s strategic visionary, client management guru, and #1 cheerleader. She joined us when we merged with Brooklyn Interactive, the agency Rebecca founded and that locked down clients Sony Pictures, Telcel, and Westinghouse in under a year. Prior to Brooklyn Interactive, Rebecca was SVP at WhittmanHart where she oversaw their marquee client, Harley-Davidson, among others. She also opened the company’s first New York office where she owned the flagship account, Black & Decker. Before that, she worked as General Manager of DNA Studio where her awesomeness brought forth hits from Best Buy, Nikon, Sony Pictures, Budweiser and Bud Light. If that wasn’t enough, Rebecca graduated with honors from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University on an academic scholarship from the Maxwell School of Citizenship. And she’s on the way up in the highly competitive Mommy Blogger world. Impress much? Meet Rebecca.
Laughter.
New England clam chowder with oyster crackers followed by a lobster roll (light on the mayo) straight off the dock in Maine, prepared on a toasted, buttered hotdog bun with waffle fries and a fountain coke. Followed by a perfectly browned marshmallow next to a partially melted square of dark chocolate nestled between two graham crackers.

Part conceptualist, part technologist, part producer, and part entrepreneur, Gibbin keeps us on the cutting edge of all things creative and technical. He co-founded DNA Studio with John Moshay, built it from a 2-man operation to a 140+ person agency and then sold it to WhittmanHart in 2006. With over two decades of experience in the entertainment and advertising industries, he’s helped great brands like Harry Potter, James Bond, Toyota, AT&T and Anheuser-Busch to push the envelope. And when he wasn’t doing that, he produced Carmen Electra’s line of fitness videos (over five million units sold worldwide), 12 other straight to DVD titles and an independent film “From Within” which had its world wide premier at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. Basically, Gibbin’s the most interesting guy at any party ever. Say hello to Chris Gibbin.

Moshay has great taste – in food, guns, photography, and winning digital strategies. That’s probably why the agency that he co-founded with Chris Gibbin, DNA Studio, racked up over 140 employees, numerous Clios, Webbys, and Key Art Awards and clients like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Disney, Warner Bros., Sony, Fox, Paramount, Universal, AT&T, Anheuser-Busch, Black & Decker, Toyota, Lexus and Scion. Hot damn! After he sold DNA Studio to WhittmanHart in 2006, Moshay continued running marketing for the company until 2008 when he partnered up with Gibbin once again and opened Something Massive near the beach in Venice. And aren’t we glad? Today he keeps our operations and marketing humming and occasionally whips up home made crab rolls for the company at lunch. Give it up for John Moshay …

Bacon and Guns.
Cheeseburger – low profile grilled brioche bun, single 1/2 lb, freshly ground, rib-eye burger (griddle fried, not open grill) with 2 slices, melted, 3-year aged cheddar, bread and butter pickle slices, light spread of thousand island, 1 heirloom tomato slice and 2 pieces of iceberg lettuce. Fries and battered (not breaded) onion rings. Bacon on the side – danish bacon, thick sliced, double-smoked, and pan finished to render fat but not overly crisp. With a Vanilla Diet Coke. It should be noted that I would like them to botch the procedure so I could have another death row meal the next night: Start with a butter lettuce salad with razor thin slices of red onion and fried capers and a dijon vinaigrette. Then steamed King Crab, with drawn butter with only toasted brioche toasts for pushers. Enough crab so that they can barely get the belt around my distended, crab-filled, belly of happiness.
Dana Neujahr (bio)
Executive Director of Client Services

She was born and raised in Los Angeles, specifically the Valley (like, omigod, gag me with a spoon, right?), and after four years of college in Portland, OR, returned to La La Land with high hopes of making it big in Hollywood. Lucky for us, our founders had different hopes for Dana. Way back then she landed a job in the marketing department of an interactive agency called DNA Studio. Nine years, one Masters degree in Communications from USC, one husband and two little boys later, Dana runs the Account Services department for the same folks that gave her her big break all those years ago. She’s an excellent leader, a master ideator, and gets her jollies from the launch of a successful website or campaign. We are so pleased to bring you Dana.
Kids fighting, kids laughing, and George Carlin narrating Thomas the Train episodes. Weird.
Asleep. Probably on the couch. About 10 minutes after putting a movie on.

Matzo Ball Soup, a plate of new pickles, corned beef on rye, a fried Knish from a NY street vendor, Sushi from Katsuya, a white chocolate Toblerone, a package of Smarties, and a Coke with LOTS of ice. I figure after that combo, dying will sound pretty good.
Julia Perry (bio)
Vice President, Business Development

Julia’s the mover, shaker, and new deal maker here at Something Massive. After tying up a Marketing degree from Miami of Ohio, she followed in her father’s footsteps and took a job selling technology solutions to enterprise business clients for AT&T. Lucky for us, that got boring pretty fast. So she made the jump to digital advertising. After 3 years in account management learning the biz from the inside out, agency management zeroed in on Julia as the ideal business development pro. She’s been pitching ever since. Most recently, she won the hearts of clients like Black & Decker, Save-A-Lot Food Stores, SC Johnson, and AT&T as National Director of Business Development for WhittmanHart. Today, she doles out free advice, digital perspective and massive cupcakes, all wrapped in authentic southern charm, so don’t be shy about reaching out, y’hear?

A huge cheese platter and a good dry chardonnay. Korean beef bibimbop (extra beef) served in a hot pot so the rice gets crispy and a Don Julio Anejo margarita with fresh lime juice. My mom’s carrot cake, heavy on the cream cheese frosting. I must be on death row because I’m a schizophrenic maniac with a cheese obsession.
Jon Setzen (bio)
Creative Director

We had never met a Creative Director who could consistently predict the business results that his drop-dead gorgeous work will produce until we met Jon. Maybe that’s because in addition to being “a creative” he’s also an entrepreneur. We snapped up that killer combo right away. Jon has worked with everyone from The San Francisco Chronicle to Alicia Keys as well numerous record labels, photo agencies, photographers and non-profits. His artwork (illustrations, prints and rock posters) has been exhibited in Los Angeles, NYC, the UK and Japan. Googling him will find mentions on such sites as How Magazine, Apartment Therapy, Josh Spear, Gothamist, Behance and many equally hip others. We adore him. Meet Jon Setzen.

Ideally, I’d be on death row in Half Moon Bay, California and I could get delivery from Barbara’s Fish Trap. I’d go out of with a Dungeness Crab Sandwich, Fries and an Anchor Steam. I’d eat it while watching the pelicans on the bay from my tiny prison cell window. If I wasn’t in Half Moon Bay I’d go out with my mom’s spaghetti bolognese and a truffle milkshake.
Misti West (bio)
Production Director

She’s a mountain girl, a world traveller, an adventurer, a technologist, and one hell of a project manager. Meet Misti. Although her roots are in Texas and Oregon, there’s little that can hold Misti down. Dual degrees in Spanish and Business launched an international technology consulting career that she eventually parlayed into a digital marketing job in Chicago. But this bird likes to fly so we hired her to manage our hybrid team in the US & South America, giving her an opportunity to flex creative, technology, Spanish, travel & project management muscles equally. Misti + Something Massive = bueno.

Three options depending on mood and location of incarceration. Each ends with the same punchline. Option A) A bottle of Brunello de Montalcino; spinach, pear and gorgonzola salad; empanadas and fugazzeta (onion) pizza; bife de chorizo (Argentinian cut of steak) with chimichurri sauce and french fries; butterscotch brownies with a capuccino. Option B) A bottle of Viognier; cucumber salad; spicy Miso soup; hamachi/jalapeno/avocado roll; crab rangoon; chicken pad thai; mango sticky rice. Option C) A pitcher or margaritas; chips and fresh guacamole; jicama salad; tacos (one al pastor, one grilled mahi mahi and one carne asada) with beans and rice; tres leches cake. And the punchline … A mixture of Swedish Fish, red and purple jelly beans, black licorice, Sour Patch Kids, Jujy Fruits, and Sour Fruit Balls.
